At RYT by Hand, we believe in fostering meaningful connections through thoughtful, personalized messages. These Content Guidelines exist to ensure our community remains a safe, respectful, and welcoming space for everyone.

Our platform is designed for authentic personal communication—sharing moments, expressing gratitude, celebrating milestones, and staying connected with the people who matter most. To protect this experience, we ask all users to follow these guidelines when creating and sharing content.

  • Profile photos that represent you authentically

2.3 Personal Notes

  • Reminders and notes about important dates and events
  • Personal reflections and memories
  • Gift ideas and thoughtful gestures for your connections

3. Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe and respectful community, the following types of content are strictly prohibited on RYT by Hand:

3.1 Harassment and Bullying

  • Content that threatens, intimidates, or harasses others
  • Personal attacks, insults, or demeaning language
  • Cyberbullying in any form
  • Unwanted or repeated contact after being asked to stop

3.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Content that promotes hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Discriminatory language or symbols
  • Content that promotes or glorifies hate groups or extremist ideologies

3.3 Sexual and Adult Content

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content
  • Nudity or sexual imagery
  • Sexual solicitation or suggestive content
  • Content depicting or promoting sexual exploitation

3.4 Violence and Dangerous Content

  • Content that threatens or promotes violence
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content that promotes self-harm or suicide
  • Instructions for dangerous or illegal activities

3.5 Spam and Deceptive Content

  • Unsolicited bulk messages or connection requests
  • Commercial advertising or promotional content
  • Misleading or false information
  • Phishing attempts or scams
  • Impersonation of others

3.6 Illegal Content

  • Content that violates any applicable laws
  • Content that promotes illegal activities
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Content involving the exploitation of minors

3.7 Other Prohibited Content

  • Malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Personal information of others shared without consent
  • Content that disrupts or interferes with the platform's operation

4. Automated Moderation

To help maintain a safe community, RYT by Hand employs automated moderation tools that work proactively to prevent harmful content from being shared.

4.1 Profanity Filter

Our platform includes an automated profanity filter that detects and blocks content containing:

  • Offensive or vulgar language
  • Slurs and derogatory terms
  • Inappropriate words and phrases

Content that triggers the profanity filter will be prevented from being sent until it is modified to comply with our guidelines.

4.2 Content Length Limits

To ensure quality and prevent spam, we enforce reasonable length limits on:

  • Card messages and text content
  • Notes and event descriptions
  • Profile information and bios

4.3 Image Moderation

Images uploaded to the platform may be subject to:

  • Automatic file type and size validation
  • Basic format and quality checks

5. User Reporting

We rely on our community to help keep RYT by Hand safe. If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly through the app.

5.1 How to Report Content

  1. Open the card or content you wish to report
  2. Tap the report option (usually represented by a flag or menu icon)
  3. Select the reason for your report from the available options
  4. Submit your report

5.2 What Happens After You Report

  • Reports are reviewed by our team as quickly as possible
  • You will not be notified of the outcome to protect user privacy
  • False or abusive reporting may result in action against your account

5.3 Reporting Categories

When reporting content, you may select from categories including:

  • Harassment or bullying
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Sexual or inappropriate content
  • Violence or threats
  • Spam or misleading content
  • Other violations

6. Enforcement Actions

When content or behavior violates these guidelines, we may take the following actions:

6.1 Content-Level Actions

  • Content Removal: Violating content will be removed from the platform
  • Content Blocking: Automated systems may prevent violating content from being sent

6.2 Account-Level Actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:

  • Issue a Warning: Notify you of the violation and remind you of our guidelines
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporarily restrict your access to certain features or the entire platform
  • Permanent Ban: Permanently remove your account for serious or repeated violations

6.3 Factors We Consider

When determining enforcement actions, we consider:

  • Severity of the violation
  • Whether the violation is repeated
  • Intent behind the content or behavior
  • Potential harm to other users or the community

6.4 Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may contact us at support@rytbyhand.com to request a review of the decision.

As a member of the RYT by Hand community, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account secure to prevent misuse
